Jennifer Vento was born and raised in Queens, N.Y.  in a rambunctious household with a twin sister and a younger brother. She spent her childhood climbing trees, digging for dinosaur bones, playing with dolls, and of course, drawing and painting on whatever she could get her hands on.

 

Jennifer’s love of art led her to study at the Savannah College of Art and Design, followed by the School of Visual Arts in New York, where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art.

After living in Los Angeles, Sydney, Australia, and Portland, Oregon while working in publishing sales and stop motion animation, Jennifer now resides back in New York with her husband and children. She spends every free moment in her day painting, writing stories, sculpting needle felted figurines, doing calligraphy, brainstorming craft projects, gardening, and cooking.
